Duration: 8 Weeks
Job location: Scarborough, ON
Responsibilities:
- Directly works with youth under the supervision of the Youth Lead, to help deliver programs activities.
- The youth worker has to have the ability to be empathetic and build trusting relationships with young people.
- Organizes and oversees community programs aimed at diverse youth.
- Facilitating gender specific group sessions to raise
- awarenessProvides support and social activities for youth, especially young people from visible minority groups.
Requirements:
- University/college student or graduate
- Between the age 17 to 30
- Able to work 35 hours per week Monday to Friday; remotely or onsite
- Ability to use Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point)
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act for the duration of the employment
- Have a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of employment and be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulations
